Meet Gary

I’m proud to serve as Vice President of the Grossmont Union High School District Governing Board. Since first being elected in 2008, I’ve worked to expand career education, modernize our schools, embrace innovative technology, and ensure students are prepared for college and high-paying careers.

I helped expand more than 40 Career Technical Education pathways and secure nearly $1 billion for campus improvements while maintaining strong taxpayer accountability. Our district has earned statewide recognition for CTE, transparency, and millions in taxpayer savings.

As an educator and longtime community volunteer, I believe every student deserves opportunity, every taxpayer deserves accountability, and every decision should put students and families first. My wife and I are proud parents and grandparents, and I remain committed to serving East County with integrity, experience, and a focus on results.
